Here is a pretty interesting look, courtesy of the Vancouver Sun, at what is going on nationally with respect to home sales and prices.  While we are fairly insulated on Vancouver Island because of inmigration, it's interesting to note that the average sale price in BC is more than double the next closest province.  Can this continue forever?

The market statistics for February of 2010 were released by VIREB recently.  We finally see a recovery in the average sale price which moderately climbed for the third consecutive month to $355,000 which is still down from the high in Nov/08 of $367,000.  Number of transactions was higher than the same month last year and continues to instill cautious optimism amongs experts.  To see more you ...

VIREB recently released its Sales Summary for Vancouver Island.  Prices in Nanaimo are showing great recovery from this time last year and the number of sales continues to increase compared to both last month and February of last year.  You can look at the 1-page document here:
